Huzzah for the Truth Teller! Women in this country have been over-celebrated for too long. Just last night there was a story on my local news about a “missing girl,” and they must have dedicated seven or eight minutes to “where she was last seen” and “how she might have been abducted by a close family friend,” and I thought, “What is this, the News for Chicks?” Then there was some story about Hillary Clinton flying to some country because she’s secretary of state. Why do we keep talking about these dumdums? We are a society that constantly celebrates no one but women and it must stop! I want to hear what the men of the world have been up to. What fun new guns have they invented? What are they raping these days? What’s Michael Bay’s next film going to be?

When I first set out to ruin SNL, I didn’t think anyone would notice, but I persevered because—like you trying to do a nine-piece jigsaw puzzle—it was a labor of love.

just now my mother came running down to my room to tell me that my brother had called her yelling at her to update financial aid, and she had no idea what he was talking because we haven’t even filed taxes yet. i asked her whether she tried communicating with michael what the specific problem was and she said no. i then go onto fb to ask michael what the heck he said to get mom so flustered. the situation is resolved within 5 minutes. afterwards, i call mom over to tell her that there isn’t really a problem, michael was just anticipating work that needed to be done within the next month.

these kind of situations happen even when i am at school, my mother would call me nonstop to tell me what to do with michael, or my brother would call me to calm my mother down.

these are daily problems that arise when your mother doesn’t know enough english to understand her son and when your brother doesn’t know enough chinese to explain things to his mother..this worsens infinitely when NEITHER of them have the patience to try to listen to each other to work things out.

i wish i could be zzzz-ing it up, but instead i’m on the interwebz doing absolutely nothing. my sleep schedule is completely ruined! at school i always konk out by 1am. ALWAYS. i just start getting really cranky after that. but i’ve been sleeping later and later during this winter break…so now its 4 am and i’m not even nodding off!!! ahhhh! must stop this ridiculousness IMMEDIATELY. i was even baking until 2am! what’s wrong with me TT^TT

(the cookies i made were awesome though.)

so, i have neglected to update the tumblr world (aka su anne) about the status of my current friendships..well, ALL IS WELL!

if you can recall, i had 3 really good best friends (ride or dies) in high school: vera, bianca, and megan. we’re all really chill and knew everything about each other. by senior year, we wouldn’t even need to say full sentences because we could finish each other’s thoughts! when we went to college, we started drifting, and changing, and living our own lives, and i wasn’t so sure about us anymore. this past break, i decided to talk to each of them separately and they were all really understanding and said they want to work on our friendship because it’d be a shame to lose what we had! our plan is to keep better in touch over the school year (megan and i have been talking almost every day even though she’s studying in the dominican republic) and during breaks, we’ll do a rotation style hangout. so one day, bianca gets to choose what we should do, and then vera, and then me, and then megan. that way we’ll all be doing things we love. i thought this was a good compromise :) i’m really glad i talked to them about it because i was dreading our friendship falling apart and then i was in denial for a long time (denying that i cared about them or that they cared about me). i knew those things weren’t true but i think i was trying to cope with us growing apart. we all need different things from friendships (and relationships even) and i’m glad i was able to voice to them my needs and even more glad that they love me enough to compromise! i guess good communication IS key to everything!!
